Marilyn Cummings

Mrs. Cummings was selected to participate in the Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History, studying WWII and the Great Depression at Stanford University. She also has been awarded two grants from the Stanton Foundation’s Innovation in Civics Education program to implement new and creative ideas for learning. In addition, Mrs. Cummings is a four-time recipient of the Landmarks of American History and Culture Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. She is a member of NCSS and CCSS. Previously, Mrs. Cummings taught at Glastonbury Public Schools (Connecticut) as well as St. Mark’s Episcopal School and Western School (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). Her personal interests include jewelry design, reading and hiking.
