The Mary Ann Wasil Daisy Run

Lauralton Hall's Pink Week celebrated October 14-17 to support breast health education. Throughout the week Lauralton students learned about breast health, deck out the campus in pink, promote awareness through art, and "get their pink on" with a dress-down day. This week also culminate in the 10th Annual Mary Ann Wasil Daisy Run on Friday, October 17, 2025 on the Lauralton Hall track and field.
In a special way during Pink Week the Lauralton community remembers Mary Ann Wasil, founder of the Get In Touch Foundation who launched the Daisy Wheel, an interactive, safe, and easy-to-use tool showing the eight steps for a breast self-exam. Read more about Mary Ann Wasil, whose daughter Betsy Nilan now serves as Board Chair of the Get in Touch Foundation which has distributed over 1,000,000 Daisy Wheels globally. The Daisy Run event features a one-hour presentation with a guest speaker followed by a run/walk on the LH track in celebration of the theme Courage & Faith to Hope & Strength.
All proceeds support the Get In Touch Foundation and
the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Cancer Center.
