Meet the Counselors

Yvonne Fosse-Previs ’90

Ms. Fosse-Previs has served as director of guidance and planning since 2013. She is certified by the Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions. A member of the Lauralton Hall class of 1990, Ms. Fosse-Previs also has served on the alumnae board. Earlier, she worked as a museum curator promoting equal access to educational programs and opportunities. Her experience also includes academic advising, personal tutoring and study skills training. Ms. Fosse-Previs is a member of the Connecticut School Counselors Association. She lives in Milford with her husband and two children and – when she is not away visiting college campuses -- can be found walking the beaches in town with her family.

Susan Fracker
College Counselor

Mrs. Fracker is a Connecticut State Certified School Counselor and a member of the Connecticut School Counselor Association. She organizes Lauralton’s Career Day, which brings professional women to campus to talk with students about careers. She enjoys focusing on college and career counseling and catching up with Lauralton alumnae when they return to visit. Earlier in her career, Mrs. Fracker worked at Jockey Hollow Middle School in Monroe and as a substitute teacher in Trumbull. Having gone through the college process—including graduate school—with her own four children, Mrs. Fracker likes to help others traverse this challenging yet exciting time.

Erin Chamberlain
School Counselor

As a counselor for ninth and tenth grades, Mrs. Chamberlain helps students succeed as they transition to high school and navigate sophomore year. She is a Connecticut State Certified School Counselor as well as a member of the Connecticut School Counselor Association and the American School Counselor Association. Mrs. Chamberlain also serves as the instructor for the Freshmen Seminar and AP Exam coordinator for Lauralton Hall. In addition, she is moderator of Lauralton’s Youth Awareness Club and is co-moderator of the Debate Team and Club. Earlier in her career, Mrs. Chamberlain worked at Norwalk High School and Fairfield Ludlowe High School. A mother of three young adults, she is active in supporting women’s and children’s issues. Mrs. Chamberlain completed the Avon Breast Cancer walk (39 miles in two days) and has participated several times in the Make a Wish Foundation’s Color Run.

Carly Hanson
School Counselor, Dean of International Students

Mrs. Hanson advises ninth and tenth grade students, teaches sophomore guidance seminars, and serves as Lauralton’s College Board SSD Coordinator. She is a Connecticut State Certified School Counselor as well as a member of the American School Counselor Association, the Connecticut School Counseling Association, and the New England Association for College Admission Counseling. Mrs. Hanson also serves as the moderator for the LH Equestrian Club, where she advises students in the process of earning a varsity letter through the United States Equestrian Federation and arranges guest speakers for equine education. She enjoys going to Vermont with her family to ski and is an avid equestrian who takes to the trails whenever she can.

Katie Hutchinson
School Counselor

Ms. Hutchinson serves as school counselor for all grade levels at Lauralton. Previously, she served as an intern in Lauralton’s counseling office during the 2016-2017 academic year as she earned a master’s degree in school counseling from Fairfield University. Following her internship, she served held a long-term substitute as school counselor in the fall of 2017. Ms. Hutchinson also holds a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in psychology and mathematics from Iona College. She is a Connecticut State Certified School Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. She also is a member the American School Counseling Association, Connecticut School Counselor Association, Chi Sigma Iota: International Counseling Honor Society, and Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority, Alumnae. Ms. Hutchinson enjoys spending the day at the beach, trying out new baking recipes, and taking weekend trips to new places.
