Lauralton Hall will host a "shop and stroll" event, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, on Sunday, December 3 from noon – 5:00 p.m.
The historic Mansion on campus will be open to the public. Visitors can shop from specialty vendors, stroll through the beautifully decorated Mansion, enjoy holiday treats, hear student musical performances, and visit with Santa.
Admission is $10 at the door and free for children 12 and younger. All proceeds benefit Lauralton Hall financial aid and scholarships.
More than 35 local vendors will offer a wide range of gift items including a special edition Lauralton-branded candle ("Merry Mansion"), decorative authentic sea glass found on the Connecticut shoreline, custom baby head wraps and bows, and all-natural dog biscuits.
"There is a wonderful history of Christmas at Lauralton Hall," said Elizabeth Miller, President and Head of School. "This year we are bringing back some of the traditions long associated with Christmas in the Mansion, and we are so excited to welcome the greater Milford community back to campus," added Miller.
Also featured at this year's event is a spectacular collection of Clothique Possible Dreams Santas first introduced in 1985. The Clothique Keltic Santas, on loan from Lauralton alumna and collector Kathleen Kearns Donahue '80, will be on display for all to enjoy.
The logo for this year's event was designed by Lauralton student Johanna Angele-Kuehn, Class of 2018.
