Former Pro Named Head Volleyball Coach

Lauralton Hall announced today that Casey Wright has signed on as Head Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2017 season.

Ms. Wright, who played professionally in Denmark with the Brondby Volleyball Klub, also played Division I volleyball at the University at Albany where her team won four America East Championships. During her college career, Ms. Wright was named twice to the America East All-Conference Team, twice to the America East All-Tournament Team, and four times as America East Player of the Week. In 2011, she ranked ninth in the nation for hitting percentages.

In 2015, Ms. Wright played in the United States in the Adult Nationals as a member of the Premier Volleyball League. She most recently served for four years as Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Emma Willard School in Troy, NY.

"Casey is a triple threat -- natural talent, professional experience and strong coaching background," said Director of Athletics Jeanne Cooper. "We are so excited to welcome her to the team."

Ms. Wright, who also serves as Lauralton's Director of Annual Giving, holds a bachelor's degree in public policy and a master's degree in nonprofit management from the University at Albany.
