Science Olympics Open House
Is Science the Name of Your Game?
Join us for a morning of fun, learning, and inspiration!
Lauralton Hall has been hosting the Science Olympics for Girls for several years. This event is designed for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade girls interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) - and having some fun! Girls will form teams of up to four to compete in events related to physics, chemistry, earth science, and biology. If you do not have enough members to make a complete team, no worries! Girls will be randomly assigned to fill existing teams. Lauralton Hall will provide light refreshments, and awards will be presented at the end of the program.
But wait, there's more! While the students are engaging in the Science Olympics activities, parents are invited to stay for an Open House Informational Session hosted by the Director of Enrollment Mrs. Yvonne Fosse-Previs '90, P'27. Unfortunately, due to fire code, parents are unable to watch the classroom science demonstrations.
Additionally, parents and students will have the opportunity to attend an animal conservation show presented by Animal Embassy, a non-profit animal rescue and rehabilitation group located in Connecticut.
