Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome to Lauralton Hall!

I am honored to lead  Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, and to champion a school community that has come together, for over 100 years, to imagine what is possible for Lauralton women. The founder of the Sisters of Mercy, Catherine McAuley, wrote, “a good beginning is of great importance,” and I can’t think of a better place to begin your secondary school experience than in this special community. These are important years of preparation and growth for girls becoming confident young women, well prepared for what comes next.

As an all-girls school, with a focus on Mercy Education values, Lauralton Hall offers many benefits. With a focus on the mind, body, and spirit, our students welcome the challenge of pursuing their full potential in a culture of excellence, critical thinking, and curiosity.

“Girls’ schools are places where girls take center stage. Every aspect of a girls’ school – from the classroom to the athletic field to the academic program – is designed for girls.” ICGS

Our all-girls engineering team collaborated on the coding, presenting, building, and design of their lightweight, semi-autonomous cargo transport system and won first prize in the 2023 Sikorsky STEM Challenge. Our female athletes won the 2023 SCC Girls Golf Championship Title, 17 earned spots on all-conference teams, 14 earned spots on all-state teams, and 6 earned scholar athlete recognition within our league.  Our actresses received 10 nominations for the Halo Awards with 3 winning their category. Our students completed over 13,000 hours of community service. Just like the 8,324 Lauralton alumnae before you, by choosing Lauralton Hall you are making a choice to become the best version of yourself throughout your secondary school years.

Lauralton Hall is a school built on one powerful mission—to empower young women to pursue their highest potential through lifelong learning, compassionate service, and responsible leadership in a global society. That mission will serve you well in life. I invite you to come see and feel in person what makes Lauralton Hall a remarkable place. I look forward to getting to know you.

In Mercy,
