Mayor Giannattasio Honors Lauralton Hall’s 120th Anniversary with Proclamation

On Mercy Day, Lauralton Hall welcomed Milford Mayor Tony Giannattasio to campus for a special presentation in honor of the school’s 120th anniversary. During a ceremony in the Chapel, Mayor Giannattasio presented a City of Milford Proclamation recognizing Lauralton Hall’s long-standing commitment to educating and empowering young women in the Mercy tradition.

In his remarks, the Mayor commended Lauralton’s legacy of academic excellence, service, and leadership, noting the school’s profound impact on the Milford community since its founding in 1905.

Head of School Beth Coyne accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Lauralton community, expressing gratitude for the city’s recognition and for the generations of students, faculty, and families who have shaped the school’s 120-year history.

The presentation was a meaningful highlight of Mercy Day, a celebration rooted in compassion, service, and the enduring values of the Sisters of Mercy.
