Live Music, Dancing, and Good Cheer: Something for Everyone at Irish Night!

Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall invites you to Irish Night, to be held Saturday, March 1 at 7:30 pm. This tradition celebrates the school's long affinity for Irish culture and hospitality influenced by Catherine McAuley, who founded the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin in 1831. Irish Night pays homage to Lauralton's roots while raising funds for scholarships.

Doors will open at 6:45 pm and guests will be greeted by the rousing sound of the award-winning Fairfield Gaelic Pipe Band, before The Night Visitors take the stage! Born out of the retirement of the Highland Rovers, The Night Visitors are continuing the tradition of Irish music with a rock 'n' roll attitude. Champion Irish Step dancers from Brennan-Lucey Irish Dance Academy will also be in attendance to provide a taste of the old Irish céilis with their jigs and reels.

"One of the great things about Irish Night is that there is something for everyone," said Lauralton’s Director of Advancement Kathleen Kearns Donahue ‘80. "We draw community guests from all over Fairfield and New Haven Counties. The event also brings together the Lauralton parent community, alumnae, and faculty and staff for an evening of fellowship. Most importantly, we raise much needed dollars for scholarships," she added.

Back again is the optional "Best Table" contest which offers guests the opportunity to get creative with their table decorations. Coffee, tea, and treats will be provided. Guests bring their own beverages, ice, and snacks.

Tickets are $25 per person. Must be 21 or older. Get your tickets today for this sell-out event! A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.lauraltonhall.org/irishnight.
