Lauralton Students Earn College Board Recognition

Congratulations to Sophie Salazar '23 and Malulani Mountcastle '23!

Sophie is one of only 62,000 students from across the country to earn academic honors from the College Board’s National Recognition Program. Through her outstanding achievements both at Lauralton Hall and on her 2022 College Board Advanced Placement exams, Sophie has been awarded the National Hispanic Recognition Award. Sophie has also been awarded the designation of 2022 AP Scholar with Distinction, the highest AP exam recognition.

Malulani was named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Through her exceptional academic abilities and performance on the PSAT/NMSQT in October 2021, Malulani is one of only 16,000 students to earn this recognition. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists represents less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors.

In Spring 2022, 139 Lauralton Hall students completed 326 AP exams. Approximately 75% of our current seniors are enrolled in at least one AP Class.
