LAURALTON HALL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR CHRIS LINDWALL TO BE INDUCTED INTO CONNECTICUT WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME

Lauralton Hall proudly announces that Athletic Director Chris Lindwall will be inducted into the Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026.

Lindwall is being honored in the “High School Coach” category in recognition of an exceptional 22-year coaching career. Over eight years at Joel Barlow High School and 14 years at St. Joseph High School, he compiled an outstanding 342–96 overall record. His teams earned four South-West Conference divisional titles and four Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) championships.

Among his many accomplishments, Lindwall led Joel Barlow to a state championship in 1995 and guided St. Joseph to a state title in 2015—becoming the only coach in Connecticut girls basketball history to win state championships at two different schools in one class. He also coached teams to state runner-up finishes in 1998 and 2022.

In addition to his high school coaching success, Lindwall served as an assistant coach at Fairfield University for seven years. The university’s 2001 team, of which he was a part of, was inducted into the Fairfield University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.

“We are incredibly proud of Chris and this well-deserved honor,” said Beth Coyne, Head of School at Lauralton Hall. “His legacy in Connecticut women’s basketball is extraordinary, and his leadership, integrity, and commitment to student-athletes are evident in all that he does. We are fortunate to have him guiding our athletic program and inspiring our students each day.”

Lindwall currently serves as Athletic Director at Lauralton Hall, where he continues to champion excellence in athletics and student development.

The 37th Annual Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Connecticut.

The Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the sport through participation, service, support, or achievement. The Class of 2026 represents the highest level of accomplishment in women’s basketball across the state.
