Mr. Blanco teaches ninth grade English, serves as the moderator for the LH Drama Club and will be developing classes and programs focused on theatre. Mr. Blanco has enjoyed a diverse career in the performing arts as a stage director (member, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society), administrator, actor and teacher. Mr. Blanco has worked for several cultural organizations of distinction including The National Endowment for the Arts, The Huntington Theatre Company and The Yale Repertory Theatre. Mr. Blanco has taught at SUNY Albany and American University. Until joining the faculty, he was a full-time homemaker and proud father of two including Kathryn (’17), a Lauralton honor student. Mr. Blanco enjoys good music, theatre, films, cooking and reading out loud.
