It is with enormous pride that I welcome you to the Lauralton Hall website! Founded in 1905 by the Sisters of Mercy, Lauralton Hall is the first Catholic college-preparatory high school for girls in Connecticut and among the first established in the United States.
At Lauralton Hall, we equip our students with the skills necessary for success in life, no matter her interests. Whether she’s an artist or athlete, a math wiz or a poet, each student is valued and respected for her individuality and her achievements. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to helping each student find her own path, to helping her discover her strengths and talents, and to fostering her mind and soul to help her grow into the best version of herself.
Through a challenging and supportive environment encompassing academics, arts, athletics, community service and many other co-curricular activities, our students become independent, creative thinkers. Balancing personal freedom and responsibility, our girls are encouraged to discover their passion, that which will sustain and empower them for life. Yes, we set the bar high. And our girls exceed our expectations!
A Lauralton Hall education empowers women to live life in the 21st century. Here each student will learn to take risks and forge friendships that will last forever. She will be equipped with leadership skills and have an awareness of our global community. She will develop an intellect fit for 21st century learning and a concern, not only for her own well-being, but for the well-being of others. In essence, she will graduate a competent, confident and compassionate young woman empowered for life!
I invite you to learn more about Lauralton Hall, and to visit us on campus and experience this unique community for yourself!
